1. Acceptance of Terms

The report issued by Bombay Gemmological Lab (BGL) is contingent upon the client’s acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2. Nature of the Report

This report is provided solely for identification purposes and does not serve as a guarantee of quality, value, or marketability of the gemstone or diamond. The conclusions reflect findings at the time of issuance and may be subject to change based on further examination or treatment of the stone.

3. Treatments and Modifications

Gemstones and diamonds may undergo treatments, modifications, or re-cutting to enhance their color and clarity. As such, BGL cannot guarantee that the gemstone’s properties remain unchanged after the report is issued.

4. Limitations of Testing

Tests deemed not applicable or useful for identification will not be performed. Additionally, this certificate does not indicate whether the stone has been treated to achieve its current color unless specifically stated.

5. No Warranty of Purity

While BGL employs advanced machinery and traditional methods for testing, we do not warrant that the gemstone or diamond is free from treatment or alterations. There exists a possibility of error or discrepancy, and BGL shall not be held accountable for any inaccuracies in the report or future identification results.

6. Liability Disclaimer

In the event of any claim, including but not limited to damages to the jewelry or discrepancies arising from this report, BGL’s liability shall be limited to the fee paid for the report. Clients acknowledge that the report is not a valuation or appraisal.

7. Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from this report or the services provided by BGL shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai.

8. Data Privacy and Online Publication

If the client requests to publish their certificate online, this service will incur an additional charge. BGL will take reasonable measures to protect data; however, we are not liable for any data loss, hacking incidents, or misuse of information published online.

9. Re-examinations

BGL is not responsible for any discrepancies that may arise from repeated examinations or due to variations in testing methods. Opinions regarding gemstone characteristics may vary, and BGL cannot be held liable for differing assessments.

10. Client Responsibility

The client acknowledges that they are responsible for any decisions made based on the information provided in this report. BGL encourages clients to seek multiple opinions or additional testing if there are concerns regarding the authenticity or quality of the gemstone.
